I dedicate myself to fitness because it frees me. All my life I’ve been restrained by my insecurities and doubts, and purely physically by my own body. There were and are so many things I want to do that I felt I never could. Now there may be obstacles in my way, but never again will an obstacle be my own damn self.
I am a positive person but I get really tired of aggressive optimism. If someone’s sad, let them be sad. All emotions have purpose. Sadness isn’t destructive if not prolonged. Sadness isn’t unproductive, as it offers awareness. Telling someone to “cheer up” or “be happy” is so ineffective and patronizing. The last thing a sad person needs is for someone to judge their feelings as pointless and unappealing. Welcome sadness, just don’t let it consume you.
Can you recommend any good blogs to follow if you want to commit to a fitness lifestyle change but have absolutely no idea what you're doing or where to start? I want to get serious about it but I'm completely uneducated on the subject. Thank you!
Well this is going to be long. Most of them are lifters so I’m sorry if that’s not what you’re looking for lol but they all have lots of knowledge and are super friendly and willing to answer questions. I left people out so sorry lol. Also, feel free to like this if you’re what this anon is looking for.
